We are glad to announce that the company now has one more professional patent attorney – on June 13, 2018 our employee Agneta Veženkova has been included on the professional patent attorney register of the Republic of Latvia. Agneta passed the qualification exam on patents specialty.

Agneta works in ‘Petersona Patents’ since 2016, but the first experience in the field of the intellectual property she gained working as an examiner in the Department of Examination of Inventions of the Patent Office of the Republic of Latvia, which is now very useful working as a patent attorney. Technical background Agneta gained while working in the cosmetics production company ‘STENDERS’. Previously she has worked in the Laboratory of Chemical Technology of Nanoparticles and Nanomaterials, where the scientific work was connected with photocatalytic materials and the studies of properties thereof. Agneta made also her Master’s thesis in the said laboratory which helped her to gain the master’s degree in engineering science in nanotechnologies.

Currently Agneta is responsible for European patent validations in the field of chemistry, biotechnology and life sciences (that includes also the claim translations) and patent annuity payments. Agneta does also patent searches and takes part in preparing patent applications and consultations with inventors.
